My professional background is available at LinkedIn, so I'd like to use this space to tell you a little about what makes me tick.

 

I love the art of communication - I always have. My passion for journalism started in high school and carried through undergrad at The University of Texas at Austin and later with a master's degree at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. I bleed burnt orange, and you probably don't want to sit near me at a football game.

I am fiercely loyal to my family and advocate for kids with learning differences. Brain development (and what hinders it) fascinates me. I'm a native Texan who has been fortunate enough to travel and experience the world starting at an early age, thanks to my trail blazing grandmother.

My career path from "The Daily Texan" to Public Strategies (now H+K Strategies) to YPO has afforded me the opportunity to work with incredibly smart and talented people. My hope is that I contributed a bit of humor, encouragement and learning to my colleagues and clients, just as so many of them have given me. 

​

I regularly practice mindful meditation, and I highly recommend it.
